Finding My Purpose

Have you ever dreamt of laying in a hammock strung between two palm trees on a south pacific island and watching gentle waves wash upon a fringing reef while seagulls fly over head? I have. Have you ever wondered what it would be like to sail down the amazon river and dine with the native indians living upon its banks? Again I have.

The natural world has always held a wonder for me ever since I was a child. I used to read books about exotic faraway lands full of wonder and adventure. I always watched documentaries on television like Jacques Cousteau and his crew on their adventures aboard the Calypso. And more lately the BBC series, planet earth with David Attenborough.

Then in 2005 I took my first trip overseas. An eight day holiday to Fiji with my wife Jeanette. We stayed at a small resort called the Bedarra Beach Inn on the coral coast which is on the southern side of the main island of Viti Levu.

What a wonderful time we had, the Fijian people are so friendly and Fiji is such a beautiful place. There is a river there where you can go for a canoe ride to a tradition village and have lunch with the locals followed by the traditional Karva ceremony and learn about the local culture and the history of the villagers. Then a trip further up the river to hidden waterfalls and swimming and diving. Top this of with a ride down the rapids on a bamboo raft. What a day that was.

There is another village that we visited in the Sigatoka valley for another Karva ceremony and a walk through the jungle to a huge cave that the villagers used to hide in during times of war with neighbouring villages. The cave has a narrow entrance that is pitch black and the warriors would lie in wait for their enemies to enter. Further in is a huge cathedral with a stream and a cannibal oven for any unlucky soul who ventured inside.

Our last day in Fiji we went snorkeling on one of the many reefs to be found just off the beach. The diving is truly magnificent, the coral and marine life sensational. We must have seen every colour in the rainbow. But the highlight of the trip, and therein lies the next question, was a bus ride to the capital Suva.

The time we spent in Suva was not exceptionally exciting and besides the curry we had for lunch in an Indian restaurant it was pretty boring. What was exciting was the bus ride itself. The local buses are ancient things full of rust and riddled with cockroaches that travel along the coastal highway through small villages and past many resorts.

One resort we saw was in a beautiful location right on the beach and totally deserted. Being a creator profile I immediately thought it would be great to get a hold of this resort and get it running again, I didnt know at the time about the Wealth Dynamics Profiling system. So here is the question, who has ever dreamt of owning their own resort? The answer for me, ever since that trip to Fiji, is YES.

This Blog is not about how I got that resort, it is about my ongoing journey towards getting a resort, it is about connecting with people who also share this dream in the hope that together we can achieve it. Hopefully it can also help someone else to achieve their dream whatever that dream may be.

So how can we achieve this together, there are probably many ways, the ones that stand out the most at the moment are,

  1. keep returning to check out this blog and provide me with your comments and feedback.
  2. send a link to this blog to people you know who may be interested
  3. if you havent done so already take the wealth profile test I'll get a commission that will go towards getting my first resort
  4. follow me on twitter http://twitter.com/ajifkins
  5. connect with me on Facebook
  6. If you are an XL Member or Citizen then connect with me on XL World
  7. if you are an investor, lets get together, right now
  8. if you are a resort owner please let me know how you did it. I could always use some mentoring as well and can provide IT help or website design in exchange
  9. Basically lets connect and get things rolling, I know of a number of great opportunities that are available right now
  10. and finally, keep dreaming, for dreams do come true Judy Garland told me.
